School of Education Library

The School of Education Library is one of many different libraries within the University of Leeds and is situated on-campus in Hillary Place.

The Library collection aims to support the many specific subjects which are currently being taught within the School, including PGCE method areas, TESOL and ICT.

The collection includes;

  • books
  • journals
  • theses
  • multimedia materials (e.g. audio tapes, videos, CD-ROMs)
  • examples of Critical Studies
  • National Curriculum documents
  • DfEE circulars

Please note that this is a reference-only library - you will not be able to take books out as you would normally do by using your student card. We provide suitable study space with access to a photocopier so you can sit and make notes or take copies of the information you need.

There are also four networked computers available which you can use to search the main University catalogue.

Opening Hours

The Library is open during term-time from;

  • 10am until 6pm on Mondays and Tuesdays
  • 10am until 5pm from Wednesday to Friday
  • Closed at weekends
