Theory Reading Group seminar

10 December 2012 - 10 December 2012
Hilary Place 1.24

The Theory Reading Group is initiated by the School of Education but open to all Faculties and Schools. Colleagues from outside the University of Leeds with an interest in theory are also welcome. Staff and students in the School of Education share a common interest in socio-cultural and historical activity theory and Actor Network Theory, but the Theory Reading Group is open to reading a range of theoretical work and applications in research as way to learn from each other. At this initial seminar, we will show video footage of ‘conversations’ about socio-cultural and historical activity theory in order to survey a range of theoretical issues and perspectives we could address in future seminars. Participants are encouraged to come ready to ‘sell’ their theoretical interests to the group. The seminar and a follow up email will be used to identify theories, topics and readings for seminars to be held January – June 2013.

If you are interested in participating in the reading group, please email Val Farnsworth.
