BAAL Language Learning and Teaching SIG Annual Conference
Recognizing complexity in language learning and teaching
Hosted by the School of Education, University of Leeds.
The 10th Annual Conference of this thriving Special Interest Group is this year being held at the University of Leeds, on the 3rd and 4th July (Thursday & Friday) 2014. These conferences have developed a reputation as small, friendly, intellectually stimulating events for applied linguists with a particular interest in language learning and teaching. The event will take place on the university’s main campus, close to the city centre.
This year’s theme is ‘Recognising complexity in language learning and teaching’.
Please note - we are unable to refund any payments for the conference fee (including the conference accommodation).
IRIS, the repository of materials for collecting data for research into second languages, is offering a £25 discount to delegates who contribute materials to IRIS during the registration period for BAAL LLT SIG 2014. Materials must have been used to collect data for a peer-reviewed publication or an approved PhD thesis, for research into second languages (e.g. learning, teaching, use, policy). If you pay this reduced rate, your contact details will be passed to the IRIS team. 'Materials' includes stimuli, intervention materials, elicitation tasks, instruments, protocols, amongst others. For more information, and to upload materials, please visit www.iris-database.org.
