Experimental Expert Workshop

Aim: To experiment with and evaluate various combinations of metaphor analysis techniques.

Format

• Participants to work in pairs or groups on the same discourse data, trialling combinations of techniques that will include concordancing of small and large corpora; use of qualitative data analysis software, e.g., MaxQDA; visualisation; analysis of gesture.
• Results of trials to be presented to whole group and evaluated.
