Funding success for the new Centre for the Study of Metaphor in Language

Professor Lynne Cameron has been awarded funding from the ESRC National Centre for Research Methods, for a short-term project "Metaphor analysis: Theoretical and methodological challenges in using discourse data".

The award is for £24,997.

The project involves colleagues from Education, Psychology, Computing and Leeds University Business School, as well as international collaborators, and will run for 6 months from May 2006. This is the first funded project that has been pulled together under the auspices of the new Centre for the Study of Metaphor in Language.
