Prof. Neil Morris to head new Centre for Digital Learning
Neil Morris, the University's Director of Digital Learning, has been appointed to the Chair recently advertised in the School. Neil has been involved with pedagogic research investigating the use of technology to enhance learning for HE students. He has conducted studies on tablet computers, eBooks, the integration of video lectures, podcasts and mobile technology into the HE curriculum.
Neil will be seconded to the University for 80% of his time initially to carry on the development of the University's digital learning strategy, as he is currently seconded as the Director of Digital Learning for the University of Leeds and is overseeing all projects relating to Blended and Digital Learning, including MOOC's.
For the remainder of his time he will focus on the development of an interdisciplinary centre for digital learning to which many in the school will wish to contribute.
