Dr Parry explains the benefits of watching films in younger audiences

Lecturer in Education and Childhood Studies, Dr Becky Parry, discusses the value of watching Christmas films as a child.

The article, entitled ‘Twelve reasons your children should watch films at Christmas’, suggests that watching films, particularly over the holiday period, can teach children a range of important social and cultural lessons. For example, helping in the development of language and grammar, widening cultural experiences and creating important shared experiences between children and their families.
