Professor Linda Evans presents keynote at Aston Business School

27 January 2015 | Sarah Redhead

Professor Evans was delighted to be a keynote speaker at the annual conference of the International Professional Development Association (IPDA), hosted by Aston Business School.

To an audience of fellow academics and education professionals at Aston University, she spoke on: What do we still need to know about professional development? A research agenda for the field. Identifying gaps in the professional development knowledge base, she asked: ‘What is it, precisely, that is being developed when we speak of professional development?’ – a question that her audience found stimulating and thought-provoking. With over 20 years’ experience as an academic, Professor Evans has received many invitations to present keynotes in the UK and overseas, including in Australia, France, Portugal, South Africa and Mauritius. Professor of Leadership and Professional Learning at the School of Education, she is the academic lead for work within the School of Education on educational leadership and management, and is the leader of the School’s Learning, leadership and policy academic team.
