Professor Cooke and Dr Harvey awarded £100k Global Challenges Research Funding

Professor Paul Cooke and Dr Lou Harvey have been awarded funding by Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) Global Challenges Research Funding (GCRF).

This is part of GCRF distributed to English universities in receipt of quality-related funding, and projects must promote the economic development and welfare of developing countries as their main objective.

Professor Cooke (School of Languages, Cultures and Societies) and Dr Harvey's (School of Education) project is 'Supporting Vulnerable Children to become Youth Leaders in South Africa: Shaping the Future of the Isibindi Safe Park Model Nationally and Internationally'.

This will be a 6-month project carried out with co-investigator Sinethemba Makanya from the University of Witwatersrand.
