MA TESOL (Oman) launched on January 5th 2008!

Oman MA TESOL

The MA TESOL (Oman) was launched on January 5th 2008 on the premises of Majan University College, Muscat. In addition to nine graduates from the Leeds BA Educational Studies (TESOL), the class (pictured right) also included graduates from Sutan Qaboos University, and lecturers in tertiary institutions in Oman from South Africa, Nigeria, Tunisia and Sudan, a truly international mix.

Students brought a wide variety of experience, as inspectors, teacher trainers, senior teachers and college lecturers. Angi Malderez and Goodith White from the School of Education went out to Oman to teach the first module 'Contexts and Approaches for TESOL'. The next module 'Methodology for TESOL' will be taught in June 2008. The students organised a truly sumptuous party at the end of the course (please see picture of MA cake!)
