CSSME Begin Innovative Danish Collaboration
Professor Phil Scott and the CSSME science team are currently starting an innovative programme of collaborative work with the Department of Science Studies, Aarhus University, Denmark, which is scheduled for the next 3 years.
A range of projects is envisaged, with some having already got under-way. Phil is working with colleagues at Aarhus to plan and to implement the raising of capacity in the Department of Science Studies for both research and teaching. Hilary Asoko and Dr Jenny Lewis are named supervisors for two Danish colleagues in their doctoral studies. Phil has also been centrally engaged in developing a research project proposal ('Enhancing coherence and relevance in science education')for the Danish Council for Strategic Research, with colleagues from Copenhagen University, Aarhus and CSSME. The proposal was successful in the first round of the competition and news of the final bid will come around Christmas time.
Many, congratulations to Phil and the team for all the work that has gone into the collaboration and essential negotiations.
