NEW! MA Deaf Education International
The School of Education is launching a new International Masters Programme in Deaf Education from September 2009/10.This exciting, new development builds on the success of existing provision in this area for home professionals led by Dr Ruth Swanwick, a recognised expert in the UK in the teaching and research of deaf education. This part-time e-blended distance programme is designed for International and EU educational professionals in deaf education who wish to study at a distance to develop their specialist professional knowledge and gain a wider understanding of international issues and developments.
The first of its kind to enable deaf education professionals to participate and collaborate in international study at Masters level, it aims to attract experienced international teachers and professionals wishing to focus on a special area of expertise which they may then disseminate to colleagues back home to benefit their own provision in deaf education, and, at the same time, gain a Masters qualification. This new programme reflects the School of Education's strong commitment to, high quality research-led teaching.
