Biology and science education at secondary and university level, policy issues in science education and curriculum development.

Interests

I am a research fellow in science education and a member of the Centre for Studies in Science and Mathematics Education (CSSME). I have taught Science/ Biology in Bradford secondary schools for the past five years and have a PhD in Plant Ecophysiology.

My research interests lie in curriculum change and how teachers respond to this - in terms of enactment of the changes in the classroom and how this impacts on students' attainment and attitudes. I am a research fellow on the Enactment and Impact of Science Education Reform (EISER) project.
