This specialised course examines four major developmental disorders in children and provides the opportunity to examine the evidence for our approaches in providing the best possible support for children with these disorders.

The course offers professionals, parents and other individuals with the appropriate qualifications the opportunity to examine the most appropriate evidence for the nature, diagnosis, assessment and intervention of the disorders.

It is supported by in-house research funded by agencies such as ESRC and Action Research and private and charitable organizations within the UK who work with children showing such disorders.

50 Years of Inclusive EducationWho is the course for?

It is aimed at all professionals from education, health, psychology and social services who work with children with developmental disorders. You will usually be from education or the health service and work with children from the early years through to secondary age level.

It is also suitable for parents (with appropriate qualifications) who wish to understand and act upon the condition.

The course also offers a first step towards further study as participants who successfully complete the PGCert may be able to take up to 60 credits forward for the taught MA (SEN) course.
