PGCE Biology
The Programme
Our comprehensive training will provide you with the skills and experience you need to teach this fascinating subject to 11-18 year olds. In addition to broadening your own subject knowledge, you will learn how to make this knowledge accessible and interesting to students.
Utilising a range of teaching approaches and sharing your expertise with your fellow trainees, you will become skilled at managing the teaching and learning process both in the classroom and in the field.
You will be trained as a science teacher who specialises in Biology, so you will also take complementary courses in Physics and Chemistry. These courses are designed to develop both subject knowledge and teaching techniques, and are taught by specialist tutors.
