The Programme
Our comprehensive training will provide you with the skills and experience you need to teach this subject to 11-18 year olds.
In addition to broadening your own subject knowledge, you'll learn how to make this knowledge accessible and interesting to students and discover a range of innovative teaching methods including the internet, field trips and even chemical egg races!
This programme is carefully structured and will enable you to develop the highest professional standards and knowledge, providing a solid grounding in the theory and practice of science education. You will receive professional and up-to-date training in all aspects of teaching and become skilled at teaching this vibrant subject up to A-level and GNVQ.
You will be trained as a science teacher who specialises in Chemistry, so you will also take complementary courses in Biology and Physics. These courses are designed to develop both subject knowledge and teaching techniques, and are taught by specialist tutors.
