PGCE Mathematics
The Programme
Our comprehensive training will provide you with the skills and experience you need to teach this subject to 11-18 year olds. In addition to developing your maths knowledge, you will be encouraged to think creatively about tasks and activities that will enable children and young people to gain a better understanding of Mathematics.
You will discover different teaching methods, learn about common misconceptions, deliver presentations, use a set of imaginative teaching materials and discuss related social and political issues.
As we value the role of ICT in teaching Mathematics, we will also help you to become an enthusiastic and fluent user of appropriate software.
