Get Involved
For Staff and Students at Leeds or Other Universities
CCHRE aims to promote collaboration between those interested in citizenship and human rights education. We would like to hear from staff and students about research projects or courses within higher education which focus on learning for citizenship, human rights and equality.
Our work is necessarily interdisciplinary. Learning for citizenship and human rights involves collaboration between educators and those working in a range of disciplines including political science, sociology and human rights law. We are interested in hearing from colleagues who would like to form partnerships with CCHRE.
If you would like to get involved in the work of the Centre, as a research partner or student volunteer, please email CCHRE@education.leeds.ac.uk
Local and Regional Organisations
CCHRE staff are committed to research, consultancy and teaching to support developments in schools and community organisations within Leeds and the region.
We are interested in hearing about developments in your area including existing projects and initiatives. Please email CCHRE@education.leeds.ac.uk
National and International Agencies
CCHRE is nationally and internationally focused. We have partnerships and on-going working relationships with the British Council, UNESCO, the European Commission, the Council of Europe, and the British Association for Eastern and Central Europe .
We are interested in hearing from national and international agencies that wish to work with CCHRE. Please email CCHRE@education.leeds.ac.uk
Advisory Group
The CCHRE is establishing an Advisory Group to help guide its development and its programme of work. The Centre will hold an annual advisory group meeting, and will consult advisory group members on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
CCHRE Director, Professor Audrey Osler, will invite representatives from a range of organisations to take part. These are likely to include government agencies, local, regional and national NGOs, working in development education and children's rights, as well as representatives from schools and LEAs.
