Membership of LLI
The Institute is open to any member of the University (academic and academic-related staff, researchers, postgraduate students), its associated institutions and to regional institutions whose research interests and expertise relate to the objectives of the Institute.
University of Leeds members are all located in different home departments, centres and sections of the University of Leeds. The Institute operates on the basis of open exchange with cognate departments so as to provide the broad infrastructure needed to sustain innovative research in lifelong learning.
Organisations and institutions interested in lifelong learning may join the Institute. This gives the organisation concerned a right to be consulted about Institute events and activity, free or subsidised entry for up to five people at any Institute event, the possibility of reduced fees for block enrolments on Institute courses, and the right to use Institute membership as part of their own publicity.
Individual membership offers students and professionals a range of benefits and services. Members are entitled to free entry to most events organised by the Institute, such as the programme of seminars and colloquia on Lifelong Learning issues which we arrange each year. Our members work in universities, FE colleges, careers services, and a range of wider education and research networks.
If you would like further details and a membership form, please contact Jaswant Bhavra.
